        Spring Summer 13 Fashion Trends

COLOR: Two predominant color stories emerge. Both brights
  and muted tones are of equal importance. The major
  stories are:

* Color blocks continue but the new and stronger trend is
  monochromatic dressing from head to toe. Call it color
  minimalism.
* Look for an abundance of white.
* Black and white combinations are extremely strong.
* The blue family was a key statement on the runways. Watch
   for fresh underwater colors such as aqua, turq, ocean blue
   and electric blue.
* Orange in all shades is the new neutral.
* Hot pink is seasonless.

FABRIC: Mixed media surfaces and patchwork looks continue.
  The strongest trends in fabrication are:

* Sheers: Chiffon, organza, and laces, often layered.
* Warm weather leathers: Python, suede and snake, newest
  in color, white or metallics.
* Silk
* Cotton and muslins.
* Denim and workwear fabrics.

PRINT / PATTERN: Print and pattern continue strongly but are
   more subdued. A potpourri of stories emerge and it is a
   print remix.

* Stripes: bold and graphic in alternating widths is the
  number one story.
* Florals: From realistic to botanical looks with Japanese
  floral prints as the newest.
* Geometrics: Graphic designs, grid patterns, digital looks.
* Sea and Sand: From seascapes to palm leaves, the mood is
  pure summer.

SILHOUETTE: Graphic modern lines replace soft shapes and
  draping. The new shapes emerging are based on the new
  geometry with A-line and boxy silhouettes being key.

DETAILS: Bias cut ruffles, flounces, leg baring slits, laser cut
  outs, active sport elements, cargo or utility detailing,
  embroidery, beadwork zippers, peplums, black piping, bare
  midriffs.

Quote of the moment........

"Fashion is about dressing according to what's fashionable. Style is more about being yourself."

I'm not sure if viewers of the site check all the pages or just hit the first page to see what we are about. I would welcome any suggestions.
PS. If they are negative I may sulk for a few days but don't let that bother you...I jest.
